What is this tour like?

The east coast is where UAE divers actually go. Dibba sits on the Gulf of Oman, an hour and a half or so from Dubai by road, and the water there behaves nothing like the Gulf side — deeper, cooler, with rock reefs instead of sand.

The trip is built for people who already hold a card. Check-in at the harbour is at eight, the boat leaves at half past, and you make two guided dives with roughly forty-five minutes on the bottom each, separated by a surface interval with snacks and something cold to drink. Guides take four or five divers at a time, so nobody is chasing a line of fins through the blue.

Tanks, weights and the guide are in the price. Full equipment rental and nitrox cost extra, and the Dubai transfer — a 05:30 departure — is booked separately if you don't want to drive yourself.

  • Around forty-five minutes of bottom time per dive
  • Small groups — four to five divers per guide

FAQ

Can I join without a certification?
No. This trip needs at least a Scuba Diver, Open Water or Junior Open Water card. Beginners should book a try dive instead.
How many dives are included?
Two, both from the boat, with about forty-five minutes of bottom time each.
Is the price per person?
Yes, AED 350 per diver. Two divers come to AED 700 before any gear rental.
Is my own gear needed?
Tanks and weights are included. Everything else — BCD, regulator, wetsuit, mask, fins — you bring or rent for an extra fee.
Where exactly is the meeting point?
Dibba harbour in Fujairah, check-in at 08:00. If you take the optional transfer it leaves Dubai at 05:30.
How long does the trip take?
Four hours on the water, from 08:00 check-in to roughly 12:30. The road time from Dubai is on top of that.
How big are the groups?
Four to five divers per guide.
Can children dive here?
From ten years old, and only with a Junior Open Water certification.
Is dive insurance included?
The operator's page is inconsistent here: the equipment list mentions insurance for the day, while the exclusions list it as chargeable. Treat it as an extra and confirm the fee when you book.
Why Fujairah and not Dubai's own coast?
Dibba is on the Gulf of Oman side, where the water is deeper and clearer and the reefs are rock rather than sand — it's where UAE divers go for a proper two-tank morning.
