Our trip was excellent, the crew very quickly located dolphins (you might have to search for a while) and we had about 20 minutes watching them. For some reason the boat then took us into a couple of small harbours, but they are not very special to look at, I would have preferred it if they just took us back after the dolphins. They'll take your photo as you enter the boat, and then offer to sell it to you later.

What is this tour like?

Líneas Salmón is the family shipping company that has linked the south-west harbours of Gran Canaria since 1969, and its Excursión Delfines is the affordable whale-and-dolphin trip: about two hours at sea with a guide on board. The price is the same from all four departure ports — Puerto Rico, Puerto de Mogán, Anfi del Mar and Arguineguín — at €35 for adults over 13, €25 for children aged 6 to 12, and free for children up to 5. A bus transfer is offered as a €4 extra.

The company holds 4.0 on Google from 387 reviews as of 3 September 2026, and the reviews are candid in both directions: one guest watched dolphins for 20 minutes but would have skipped the harbour detour afterwards; another describes the morning boat's passengers coming back without a sighting while the afternoon group saw whales and tuna. Photos are taken as you board and sold on the boat. Spanish is the confirmed service language.

“Wow, wow, wow... our 3-hour boat trip yesterday was amazing. We started by waiting for the morning trip to come in, and the 50 or so people looked unhappy (they hadn't seen anything at all), so when we boarded our boat, we didn't have high hopes for seeing any dolphins or whales. But the 16 people on our trip got lucky, and we got to see whales, a shoal of tuna up close, lots of flying fish.”

“This trip is an absolute must-do! We went dolphin searching, actually saw them, and got exactly what we paid for. The experience itself was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The captain was a fantastic host who kept us all laughing over the intercom throughout the journey. I also highly recommend buying the photos and keychains they sell on board.”

“Today I had the chance to enjoy an incredible experience in Gran Canaria watching dolphins and even whales. Everything was perfect from the start: the animals were calm, just being themselves in their natural environment, and it was honestly amazing to see them up close. The dolphins were beautiful, and spotting whales as well made it even more special.”
