What is this tour like?
Thai Wake Park runs three parks in Thailand, and the Pattaya one puts wakeboarding, wakeskating and water-skiing behind a cable instead of a boat. The lake sits inland at Nong Pla Lai, ten minutes by taxi from Walking Street and the beach, next to the crocodile farm. There are two areas: the main five-tower cable that runs a full circuit, and Cable 2.0, the short straight line where most people take their very first attempts.
Time is what you buy. A two-hour ticket lets you ride as much as you can stand within those two hours; a four-hour and an all-day ticket work the same way. The clock cannot be paused — a one-day ticket expires at midnight of that day. The park runs the main cable at low speed at fixed times every day (Monday to Friday 10:30–12:00, Saturday and Sunday 9:00–10:30), and it is those hours that the cheapest ticket, the low-speed session, covers.
Rates include a basic board and a life jacket. A helmet and a wristband are mandatory for everyone on the water; if you did not bring a helmet you rent one at the park. Better boards are extra — an intermediate wakeboard is ฿400 for two hours, a wakeskate ฿300 — and the Intensity Pro Shop on site sells gear if something breaks. Everyone registers, signs a waiver and is photographed on arrival; riders under 15 need a waiver signed by a parent in front of park staff. There is shade, a kitchen and drinks by the water, which is why most guests stay far longer than they ride.
