What is this tour like?
Parasailing in Pattaya is normally sold on the sand, by the flight, without a name on the receipt. Manta Marina sells it as a booked product instead: a 30-minute slot with a fixed departure time, a price per person and a company behind it — Manta Marina co.,ltd, a Beach Road operator best known in Pattaya for its speedboat and catamaran island trips.
The start is at their office at 31 Beach Road. The flight itself does not happen from the beach: the price includes the boat transfer out from Pattaya beach to the parasailing platform in the bay, which is where the canopy is laid out, the harness is fitted and the tow line goes tight. From up there the whole strip of the city and the boats between the shore and Koh Larn are in one frame.
The practical details are short. Two departures a day, 09:00 and 15:00. Thirty minutes for the slot. ฿800 per person, and the operator's booking system marks the rate as priced per person, so a couple pays twice that. A booking needs at least two people and takes no more than ten. Booking closes two hours before the departure time, and a cancellation inside 24 hours is charged in full.
Parasailing gear and the boat transfer are included. Photography is not, and neither is a transfer from your hotel — you come to Beach Road yourself. The minimum age is four, and the operator asks pregnant travellers and people with heart conditions not to fly.
