We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Nemo Dive Centre in Sharm El Sheikh and couldn't recommend them highly enough. From the very start, George was brilliant.
What is this tour like?
Nemo Dive Club is based at Ras Um Sid and rates 4.9 from 389 Google reviews. The PADI Discover Scuba Diving programme is the standard introduction for people who have never dived: a theory briefing, a confined water session where you learn to breathe and clear the mask, and then one dive in open water with the instructor. The whole thing takes about 4 hours.
The price is quoted per session — €100 for the programme as a whole, discounted from the €110 shown on the club's price list, not a per-person rate for a group. What sits outside it are the marine park and boat fees, which appear as their own lines in the same price list and are settled separately depending on where your dive takes place. No previous experience or certificate is needed; the club does not publish a minimum age, so we confirm that with them before you book.

- Three stages: theory, confined water session, open water dive
- About 4 hours in total, so it fits into half a day
