Nine ways to be on the water on Mallorca, and the honest answer to “which one” depends on five things: how many of you there are, how long you have, whether children are coming, what you are willing to spend and whether you want to be taught anything.
- Jet ski — Puerto Portals or Alcúdia
- Boat rental — the whole day, your route
- Catamaran sailing lesson — Bay of Pollença
- Catamaran day cruise — big deck, fixed route
- Speedboat to the calas
- Sport fishing
- Scuba diving
- Kitesurf and wing-foil
- Wakeboard cable park
Every number below is an operator price: the figure itself, the unit it is counted in, the duration and the group size. The first section is the one most comparisons get wrong — these prices are not measured in the same thing, and reading them as a single column will send you to the wrong boat.

Why can't you compare Mallorca prices head to head?
Because three different units hide behind the same € sign. A jet ski is priced per craft, a rental boat per boat, fishing and the sea tours per person, and the lessons per session. €25 at the wake park and €320 for a boat are simply not the same kind of number.
Per craft: jet ski and boat rental
The 60-minute jet-ski tour from Puerto Portals is €90 per jet ski for up to 2 riders; the 90-minute tour from Alcúdia is €85 per jet ski, also for 2. A couple pays €90 or €85 in total. On Charter in Palma is €320 per boat for a full 8-hour day, up to 10 guests; Mallorca 4 Boat is €260 per boat, also 8 hours, up to 8.

Per person: fishing, diving and the sea tours
Fishing Mallorca charges €140 per person for a 5-hour trip, up to 6 anglers, with rods, bait and the licence aboard (see the Mallorca fishing charter page). Scuba Mallorca lists try-dives from €75 per person over 3 hours, in groups of up to 8. The Magic catamaran day cruise is €55 per person for 5 hours, and the La Cala speedboat trip €49 per person for 3 hours. Every extra head adds the full price again.

Per session: lessons and the wake park
Cuatro Vientos Mallorca teaches kitesurf and wing-foil at €90 per 2-hour session, gear and coach included, for up to 4 people. Sail&Surf Pollença lists €59 per person for a 2-hour catamaran session, up to 4. The Mallorca Wakepark is €25 per person for a 1-hour session, up to 8 riders.

Important
€25 at the wake park is not “ten times cheaper” than a €320 boat. The wake price buys one rider one hour; the boat price buys eight hours for up to 10 people, which is €32 a head. Divide by people and by hours before you compare anything.
How many of you are going?
Group size decides more than budget does, because the per-craft formats reward company and the per-person ones punish it. Two people, a family of five and a group of ten each have a different sensible answer, and it is rarely the cheapest headline price.
Two people
A jet ski is built for exactly this: €90 at Puerto Portals or €85 at Alcúdia covers both of you on one machine, with an instructor leading the route — €45 or €42.50 a head. A 2-hour sailing session at Pollença is €59 per person, and the La Cala speedboat €49 each. A whole boat for two works, but costs the most per person.
Four to six
This is where renting the boat starts to win. €260 for the day at Mallorca 4 Boat is €65 each for four and about €43 each for six, and you keep the schedule to yourself. The same group on jet skis needs two or three machines: €180 or €270 at Portals, €170 or €255 at Alcúdia — for one hour or ninety minutes.
Eight or more
On Charter takes up to 10 guests for €320, which is €32 each at full load, against €32.50 a head on the smaller boat. The wake park takes up to 8 riders and the dive groups up to 8. Above ten, the Magic catamaran is the answer — it takes up to 100 guests.
How much time do you have?
Days on the water on Mallorca run from one hour to eight. If you have half a morning, the short formats are the honest choice: a rental boat handed back after two hours is money left on the water.
One hour
Two options run an hour flat: the jet-ski tour from Puerto Portals at €90 per craft, and a wake-park session at €25 per person. Both are near-instant — you get on the water, you get off, and the rest of the day stays yours.
Two to three hours
The Alcúdia jet ski runs 90 minutes for €85. Sailing at Pollença and the kite or wing lesson are 2 hours each, at €59 per person and €90 per session. A try-dive is 3 hours for €75 per person, and the La Cala speedboat 3 hours for €49.

Half a day and a full day
Fishing and the Magic cruise both run 5 hours, at €140 and €55 per person. The two rentals are 8-hour days at €320 and €260 per boat. A full day is the only format in which you decide where to stop, how long to swim and when to turn back.
Which formats work with children?
Two age limits are known in advance: the Puerto Portals jet ski takes drivers from 18 (a passenger rides with an adult), and a Scuba Mallorca try-dive usually starts at 10. For the other formats the operator confirms the age — give your child's age when you book. For a family it is usually not the number that decides, but the shape of the day.
Your own boat, your own timetable
A rented boat is the format that bends to a child's day: you anchor when they want to swim and head back when they have had enough. €260 for up to 8 guests or €320 for up to 10 covers the whole family in one price, and both fleets offer licence-free boats as well as skippered ones.
A big deck and a fixed route
The Magic catamaran is a wide, stable deck with music, a bar and tapas: 5 hours, €55 per person, up to 100 guests aboard — busy, but nobody has to steer. The La Cala speedboat is the small version of the same idea: 12 guests, 3 hours, €49 each, with swimming stops in calas only boats reach.
Do you need experience or a licence?
For most of this list, no. Both jet-ski tours are guided and licence-free, both charter fleets offer licence-free boats alongside skippered ones, and every trip with a captain aboard asks nothing of you at all.
Guided — you just show up
An instructor leads the whole route on both jet-ski tours. Fishing goes out with captain Vince Riera, with rods, reels, bait and tackle aboard. Scuba Mallorca is a PADI 5-star centre running try-dives, and both sea tours carry a skipper. Nothing in this group asks for a skill you do not already have.

Lessons — the point is to learn
Two formats teach rather than sightsee. Sail&Surf Pollença puts you on a Hobie catamaran for a 2-hour session at €59 per person, up to 4. Cuatro Vientos teaches kitesurf or wing-foil for €90 per 2-hour session with gear included, also up to 4. Neither is mastered in a single session, and that is the point.

Ratings here run from 4 to 5: the Alcúdia jet ski holds 4.9 across 4,824 reviews, Puerto Portals 4.8 across 1,953, and the Magic day cruise 4 across 1,060 — the big-boat average, worth knowing before you book it. Live options are on the Mallorca boat tours page and the Mallorca jet ski page.
Booking goes straight to the operator, at their price. Write to us on WhatsApp with your dates, your group size and how many hours you have, and we come back with the format that fits rather than the one with the smallest headline number.
