Below are eight classic ways onto Dubai's water, and their entry prices come in two currencies — four operators bill in dirhams, four in euro. The entry figure says less than it looks: what it buys changes from trip to trip, and so does what it is charged per. Here is the list with the unit spelled out:

- Scuba: try dive and certified dives — Al Boom Diving, €110 per person
- Deep-sea fishing charter — Ocean Active, €145 per boat
- Marina luxury yacht charter — Xclusive Yachts, €390 per boat
Four of the eight are charged per person, three for the whole boat or machine, one per session. On top of the unit sits a second question: whether the price already covers the equipment and the person teaching you, or only the hull and the fuel in it.
What does a cruise seat buy, and what does the whole yacht?
AED 210 (about $57) is one seat on the 90-minute Marina dinner cruise with Xclusive Cruises: the cruise ticket and a welcome drink, on a boat that carries up to 40 guests. €390 is the whole Dubai Marina yacht for 120 minutes with Xclusive Yachts — the yacht, the skipper and the fuel for the cruise, for up to 10 guests, with nobody else aboard.
So the two figures are not two sizes of the same thing — and they are not even in the same currency, so dividing one by the other gives a ratio, not an answer. One price buys a place on a shared deck; the other buys the vessel. Divided by ten guests — the yacht's own limit — €390 comes to €39 a head; the cruise seat is billed by its operator in dirhams, at AED 210 (about $57) a head. The charter itself is €390 either way.
Important
a per-person figure grows with every guest and a per-boat figure does not move at all, so the lower entry price is not automatically the cheaper evening. Forty seats on the dinner cruise come to AED 8,400 (about $2,285); the yacht is still €390.
Three price units: per person, per boat, per session
Four trips are charged per person — among them the 240-minute Dubai Scuba Diving at €110, which includes a certified instructor or dive guide and full scuba equipment for up to 6 divers. Three are charged for the whole boat or machine — the yacht, the fishing charter and the jet ski. One, the wakeboard hour, is charged per session, and that unit behaves differently again.
Per session means the 60 minutes are the unit: AED 550 (about $150) with Blue Wake Dubai on the wakeboard and wakesurf session covers the wake boat, the driver and an instructor or spotter, for up to 5 guests. Split five ways that is AED 110 (about $30) each, on the shortest time on the water in this list.
Where do the gear and an instructor come with the price?
On the four trips built around riding or learning something. The kitesurf and wing-foil lessons at Kite Beach with Ocean Tribe are AED 900 (about $245) per person for 120 minutes and include an IKO-certified instructor plus the kite or wing, the board and the harness — the whole kit, in groups of up to 4.
Scuba is the same shape: €110 per person for 240 minutes with Al Boom Diving covers a certified instructor or dive guide and full scuba equipment. The wakeboard session includes the boat, the driver and an instructor or spotter. The jet ski skyline tour at AED 680 (about $185) is priced per machine — one or two riders on the same ski, the second seat free — and covers the Sea-Doo, its fuel and a lead guide on the water for 90 minutes.
That is why AED 900 (about $245) for a two-hour lesson and AED 680 (about $185) for a 90-minute ride — that one charged per ski, not per rider — are not the odd figures at the top of the list. Nobody rents you the equipment on the side, and the instructor is not an add-on. All four take between 4 and 8 guests, so they are small groups by design.
Where does the price cover only the boat?
On the two charters, and in a different way on the two cruises. The Dubai Marina Luxury Yacht Charter at €390 per boat includes the yacht, the skipper and the fuel for the cruise — and that is the whole list. Catering and decoration are optional add-ons, so an empty galley is the default.
The Dubai Deep-Sea & Sport Fishing Charter is €145 per boat for 240 minutes and includes the private boat and fuel plus a captain and a deckhand, for up to 8 anglers. Divided by eight anglers that is about €18 a head, for two and a half times as long as the dinner cruise. A fishing licence is arranged if required; food is an optional add-on.
The two cruises sell a seat rather than a hull. The Marina dinner cruise includes the ticket and a welcome drink; the sunset sailing catamaran at €65 per person for 150 minutes includes the catamaran cruise itself plus a skipper and crew. On both, the deck is shared — up to 40 guests and up to 30.
What is almost always paid for separately?
Hotel transfers
Hotel transfers. They are listed as an optional add-on on five of the eight trips: the jet ski tour, the dinner cruise, the sunset catamaran, the kitesurf lessons and the wakeboard session. Operators quote transfers case by case, so it is a line to ask about in advance rather than a number to budget blind.
The rest of the extras, by type
The rest of the extras split by type. Pictures: photos or video on the wakeboard session, underwater photos on the scuba trip. Food and drink: premium drinks on the dinner cruise, alcohol where offered on the catamaran, catering and decoration on the yacht, food on the fishing charter. Kit: a wetsuit is seasonal and not included on the jet ski tour or the kitesurf lessons.
Two entries that are not comforts
Two entries are not comforts at all. On the fishing charter a licence is arranged if required, which is paperwork rather than a treat. On the scuba trip a certification course fee applies if you upgrade from a try dive — that is a different product, not a surcharge on the €110.

The price column holds the entry figure; the unit column beside it is what decides your total. Read the two together, then read what the figure already covers before comparing it with anything.
