What is this tour like?
Fun dives with Flipper are for certified divers only, and the club prices them by side of the island and by number of dives: 1,400,000 VND for one dive in the north and 1,900,000 for two, 1,800,000 for one dive in the south and 2,400,000 for two. The operator publishes its own USD equivalents alongside — about 53.7, 72.9, 69.0 and 92.1 respectively. There is a second grid for guests staying in the north, where a fun dive starts at 1,000,000 VND and a night dive costs 1,400,000, and a third for guests staying in the south.
The price covers pick-up from where you stay, one or two dives, lunch, snacks and drinks. The dive departs from Dương Đông harbour for the north or An Thới for the south. The operator states plainly that diving in the north is not available from 10 May to 20 October. Flipper holds 4.9 on Google from 410 reviews as of 4 September 2026 and works in English. The dive was safe and affordable, 1.9M VND. They set up all the equipment for us, and had 2 dive guides for the 4 of us, showing us around. They chartered a big boat, so it was quite comfy. An area of improvement is that the trip is a bit socially awkward. The staff mostly keep to themselves and don't interact much with the guests in between dives / transport. So it doesn't feel quite like a diving 'community'.”
