Try Scuba Diving with Phu Quoc Diving Club — two dives, no licence needed

Phu Quoc, Vietnam · $100 per person · EN · VI
Our instructor, Trinh, was amazing. Incredibly knowledgable, patient and very thorough. She made sure not to miss any steps and happily answered any questions we had. The online Learning system is well designed and makes the theory easy to understand and then put into practice. Our dives were fun and we made many friends along the way. I highly recommend choosing SSI to learn to dive and with luck you will have Trinh as your instructor too.
What is this tour like?
Try Scuba Diving is designed for guests with no prior experience; the centre calls it ideal for non-swimmers and first-timers. The day follows the same published timetable as the club's other trips: pick-up between 7:30 and 8:00, departure and briefing at 9:00, first dive at 10:00, second at 11:30, lunch at 12:30 and back in the harbour at 15:30. The ratio is one instructor for one or two guests, and basic skill practice is part of the programme.
The $100 covers full diving equipment, hotel pick-up and drop-off, a professional instructor at that ratio, two dives plus the skills session, fresh fruit, snacks, drinks and lunch, and the boat trip with all services. The centre publishes no age threshold for this programme. It holds 5.0 on Google from 266 reviews as of 4 September 2026 and works in English and Vietnamese. The same website also sells a Nha Trang version at a lower price; the figure here is the Phu Quoc one.

“I had a fantastic diving trip for licensed divers at Kim Quy Island with my Dive Master Bao. Bao made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the dive and his guidance was excellent from start to finish. The dive itself was enjoyable and well managed, and Bao's friendly attitude made the experience even better. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a great dive experience in the area.”
“I went diving with the Phu Quoc Diving Club for three days. The service is good. You are picked up from your local accommodation and taken by bus to the boat. The diving equipment is in good condition, which I have experienced differently at other dive centers. The food provided is also very tasty. Most importantly, the dive guides are very friendly. I dived for two days with Viet and the last day with Hoang. Both of them managed to get me interested in macro diving and made sure that the dives were great. All in all, if you want to go diving in Vietnam, I would definitely recommend this dive center.”
