Private Speedboat 'Thunder VIP' in Hurghada — 9 m, up to 8, 4 Hours

An extraordinary and unforgettable day aboard a very well-maintained and comfortable boat. The organization by Albert was perfect from start to finish, and the crew of the MY SKY boat was incredibly welcoming, kind, attentive. Islam and Ali always made sure everyone had a great time.

Private Speedboat 'Thunder VIP' in Hurghada — 9 m, up to 8, 4 Hours

Absolutely incredible day. Enjoyed by all ages, there were 9 of us. The crew made the day for us, friendly, polite and wanted to do anything to make the day enjoyable. We saw dolphins, made towel hats on our heads, they took us wherever we wanted to go and took an amazing underwater picture for us.

Private Speedboat 'Thunder VIP' in Hurghada — 9 m, up to 8, 4 Hours

We had a great day. We booked the My Sky for the day and we had such a good day. We went to our different stops and enjoyed them so much. The staff was so, so friendly, a huge shoutout to Eslam for his brilliant service. We asked for a seafood menu and it was delicious! The best food we'd had in Egypt.

The trip was absolutely amazing from start to finish — we enjoyed every moment of it. Both boat drivers were incredibly friendly and fun, which made the experience even better. We were lucky enough to see many dolphins and even swim with them. The driver approached them very respectfully.

FAQ

Is the charter priced per boat or per person?
Per boat — Egyptboats prints it in those words: prices are per boat, not per person. €240 is four hours on a boat for up to eight; €540 is the day on a yacht for up to fourteen. Two guests pay the same as a full deck.
What is not included?
Island entry: €10 per adult and €5 per child, on both boats. On the yacht, diving is extra too — €30 per dive with equipment and a private instructor. Everything else named on the pages, including hotel transfers and all fees and taxes, is inside the price.
How long is a charter day?
Four hours on ‘Thunder VIP’, and 09:00 to 16:30 on ‘Mirage Pool’ — seven and a half hours, published by the operator as a timetable rather than a duration.
Is food on board?
Snacks and drinks on both boats. A full lunch with fruit is on the yacht only, along with a private snorkelling guide — that is part of what the extra €300 pays for.
Can we choose a different boat?
Yes. Egyptboats keeps six speedboat hulls on the same list from €160 and eleven yachts from €240. Tell us the group size and the hours and we will quote the rest from the same list.
Do they collect us from the hotel?
Yes, hotel transfers are included on both charters and Egyptboats confirms the pickup time with you. The marina address is 20 Marina Road, Hurghada, if you prefer to make your own way there.

The two boats answer two different questions, and the €300 between them is three and a half more hours, six more seats and a meal.

Four hours or a whole day?

‘Thunder VIP’ is four hours and speed: a 9-metre hull for up to eight, enough for a morning at a reef and back. ‘Mirage Pool’ is a whole day with a galley: 28 metres, up to fourteen, boarding at 09:00 and back at 16:30, with lunch and fruit cooked and served aboard rather than bought on an island.

What does per-boat pricing mean for a small group?

It changes the arithmetic. If your party is short of the maximum, the charter is dearer per head than a shared boat tour — and if your party is at the maximum, it is often cheaper than buying seats.

BoatPartyPer head
‘Thunder VIP’Four friends€60
‘Thunder VIP’Eight aboard€30
‘Mirage Pool’Ten aboard€54
‘Mirage Pool’Fourteen aboard€38.57

What is already settled in the price?

Both charters put all fees and taxes inside the price, which in Hurghada is worth reading twice: the recurring Red Sea extras — park fees, transfers — are already settled here. Island entry is the one line that stays outside.

Can the yacht take a diver?

If someone in the group dives, the yacht will take that on: a dive with equipment and a private instructor costs €30. Egyptboats also runs six speedboat hulls from €160 per boat and eleven yachts from €240 per boat, so if neither of these two boats is the right size, ask for a hull that fits when you book.

Important

island entry is not settled — €10 per adult and €5 per child, payable when you land. Carry it in cash and count the children separately.
