Spent a full day out on a private trip around Palma and it was amazing. Laura, our skipper and boat owner, is kind, friendly, helpful and easy-going.
2 options for boat & catamaran rental in Mallorca — real operator prices, routes and guest reviews, all in one place.
A boat for a full day on Mallorca starts at €260 per boat, not per guest — Mallorca 4 Boat's licence-free motorboat for up to eight people, which works out at €32.50 each on a full boat.
On Charter in Palma is €320 per boat for up to ten, or €32 a head when it is full.
Both are eight-hour days: board around 10:00, cruise to the calas, anchor to swim and snorkel, and return to the marina by about 17:30. Small boats need no licence and come with a briefing on the controls; larger yachts need a licence or a skipper, which the operators provide.
The rental, safety gear and briefing are in the price — fuel, food, marina fees and transfers are not.
Take the helm out of Palma for a full day at the caves of Portals Vells, the El Toro islet and beach-club calas — skippered or licence-free.

Laura was hands down the best person we met on the entire island! We bumped into her along the promenade while looking to charter a boat.
Perfect first boating experience for our family, thanks to skipper Laura. We booked a full day out in Mallorca with our young child and it was ideal — plenty of time for swim stops.
We were in Mallorca to surprise my dad for his 80th birthday and booked a full day on the water. Laura had the boat ready and made the whole day special.
Both are eight-hour day charters priced per boat. Mallorca 4 Boat is €260 for up to eight guests; On Charter in Palma is €320 for up to ten. Filling the boat is what makes it cheap: €32.50 and €32 a head respectively, while two people pay the same figure a group of eight would. These are the starting rates; the operator confirms the final price when you book.
You board around 10:00 for the briefing and cast off. On Charter heads for the caves of Portals Vells, anchors for a swim, stops at a beach club or picnics on board, passes the El Toro islet and is back in Palma by about 17:30. Mallorca 4 Boat follows the same rhythm to quiet calas, with the marina confirmed on booking. Safety gear and the briefing are included on both.
Both can put a skipper aboard, and if you would rather not have the hull to yourselves at all, a seat on a shared boat trip costs a fraction of a charter.
If eight hours with the hull to yourselves is more than you need:

Things to do in Mallorca, sorted by coast rather than by sport: what leaves from Palma and Puerto Portals in the south-west, from Port d'Alcúdia and Port de Pollença in the north, and from Cala Ratjada in the north-east — with operator prices, price units and group sizes, so you can put your base where your day starts.

A jet ski comes with fuel, a rental boat does not; a catamaran seat feeds you, a speedboat seat hands you water; and not one of these operators includes the transfer to the harbour. What sits outside each Mallorca price, format by format, with the operators' own inclusions.

The calas everyone photographs often have no road to them. Four stretches of the Mallorca coast and the boat trips that reach them — the Palma caves by your own boat at €320 a day or a catamaran seat at €55, Cap de Formentor by jet ski at €85, the north-east coves by speedboat at €49 per person — with what each price includes.
