Semi-Private Kitesurf Lesson in Hurghada — 3 Hours, Two Students per Instructor

Wonderful place to learn, they are the best place with amazing instructors and equipment. It started with their website, then their great team responding and available on WhatsApp all the time, explaining everything. Ayman and Hassan are just great and Hassan was my instructor for my last 4 hours.

Semi-Private Kitesurf Lesson in Hurghada — 3 Hours, Two Students per Instructor

This is my second time with High Surf & Kite School, and once again they exceeded my expectations. In my opinion, they are one of the best examples of professionalism, honesty, and excellent customer care in the area. From the owners, Captain Mohamed and Captain Ayman, to the amazing instructors.

Semi-Private Kitesurf Lesson in Hurghada — 3 Hours, Two Students per Instructor

We took several courses as a whole family. My son and I completed a five-day kitesurfing course, while my wife did an 8-hour wingfoil course. The instructors were excellent and took great care of us throughout. We made very good progress, and most importantly, we were truly happy with our time there.

Semi-Private Kitesurf Lesson in Hurghada — 3 Hours, Two Students per Instructor

I had an amazing experience getting into kitesurfing with High Surf & Kite School in Hurghada! My instructor Salah was fantastic – patient, clear, and really made me feel confident on the water. Communication with the school was super easy, and they even arranged my very first lesson on the same day.

FAQ

Are the schools in Hurghada itself?
One of the three is close: High Surf & Kite School is on the Long Beach Resort beach on the Sahl Hasheesh road, south of the centre. Paradise Kitesurf Red Sea and Kite School Egypt are both in the lagoon between Hurghada and El Gouna, some 20–30 km north. No transfer is listed in the price at any of the three, so budget for the drive.
How many hours until I can ride on my own?
The schools answer that with their own product names. Kite School Egypt calls its 15-hour, four-day course ‘Ready to Kite’; Paradise sells eight hours as a beginner course that ends in an IKO certificate; High Surf issues the IKO certificate free on lessons of 12 to 15 hours. Two or three hours is a taster, not a qualification.
What happens if there is no wind?
Kite School Egypt states it plainly: course hours you do not use and days without wind are not charged. The other two schools do not publish a wind policy, so agree the rule with us before you book multi-day lessons — that is a question we put to the school in writing.
Is the price per person or per lesson?
High Surf and Paradise print the unit on the page: per person. The wing foil table even repeats it in words — ‘the price is per person only’. Kite School Egypt publishes €120 for the two-hour course and €560 for the 15-hour one without marking a unit, and does not itemise what is included; we confirm both before you pay.
Do I need my own insurance?
Yes. The schools insure their own kites — High Surf and Paradise both list full insurance for the kite equipment among the inclusions — and both put your travel insurance outside the price. High Surf recommends a policy that covers extreme or adventure sports including kiteboarding.
Can children learn here?
None of the three schools publishes a minimum age. Swimming ability is a practical requirement in every case. Write to us before booking for a child: the school gives its age limit in writing before the booking is taken.

Where do the three schools actually stand?

The first thing to settle is not the price but the address. High Surf & Kite School stands on the beach of Long Beach Resort on the Sahl Hasheesh road, south of central Hurghada. Paradise Kitesurf Red Sea and Kite School Egypt both sit in the flat lagoon between Hurghada and El Gouna, roughly 20 to 30 kilometres north of the centre.

Neither of the two northern schools is in the city, and the drive is yours to plan — none of the three includes a transfer in the price.

One student or two — what changes?

Then decide whether you want the instructor to yourself. A private lesson is one student and the whole session; a shared lesson is two students splitting both the instructor and the time on the kite. That is why €440 per person buys eight private hours and €360 per person buys eight shared ones: you are paying for attention, not for a different sport.

How many hours do you need?

The hour count is what actually decides whether you leave riding. Two hours at Kite School Egypt is a taster — enough to fly a kite on the beach and know whether you like it. Eight hours at Paradise is a beginner course with an IKO certificate at the end.

Fifteen hours over four days is the format the schools themselves describe as the road to riding independently, and Kite School Egypt does not charge for hours you do not use or for days without wind.

What is not in the price?

Gear and its insurance are inside the High Surf and Paradise prices; with Kite School Egypt, ask what the course price covers when you book.

High Surf also hands out an IKO certificate free of charge on lessons of 12 to 15 hours, plus 15% off gear rental afterwards.

Important

Your own travel insurance is outside the price everywhere. High Surf names it explicitly and recommends a policy that covers kiteboarding as an extreme sport, and Paradise lists travel insurance, accommodation, flights, meals and the entry visa outside the price.
