Why do the two options differ so much in price?
They are different products. The kitesurf entry is a ten-hour course at €390 per person, spread over several sessions with theory and safety. The other is a single two-hour windsurf class at €50 with Ocean Republik, which also teaches wingfoil, surf and SUP at prices quoted separately.
Which one suits a complete beginner?

How many people are in a class?
Small groups. The kite course takes up to two students, the windsurf and wingfoil class up to four. That keeps the instructor within earshot, which matters more here than in most water sports.
Where do the lessons take place?
On the city beaches and at the Marina de València, with rigging done a few steps from the water. By car the marina is about fifteen minutes from the city centre, seventeen from Malvarrosa, nineteen from El Saler and twenty-one from the airport.
