FAQ
How long is a lesson and how many students are in it?
What is provided, and what do I bring?
From what age can children take part?
Does the weather cancel a lesson?
How do I get to the spot?
Surf or eFoil — which one does the bay allow?
These are two different sports sharing a shoreline. Surfing with Kiterabbit happens on the central beach and depends on what the sea is doing: whether a lesson goes ahead is decided by the weather, so keep the date flexible.
The eFoil at Maryna Beach Club does not need waves at all. Its spot is a sheltered bay without waves or currents, which is precisely why an electric hydrofoil works there and a surfboard would not.
How are the prices counted?
The pricing units differ in a way that matters. Kiterabbit's $65 is one individual lesson with one student, and its $50 group lesson is the same two hours priced per person, so a pair of friends pays $100 in group format against $130 for two private lessons.
FlyGuru prices the session: 2,000,000 VND (about $77) is a 60-minute lesson for one student, and the paired basic lesson for two students is a separate item at 3,500,000 VND (about $135) — cheaper per head than two single lessons. Under-14s from 8 years old have their own programme at 1,500,000 VND (about $58).
How do you get to the lesson?
Getting there is the small print. Kiterabbit gives a free ride on the instructor's motorbike when there is only one student and arranges a car transfer separately, roughly $25 for the round trip shared by all the students that day.
What else costs extra?
FlyGuru charges for the camera work rather than the transport: 1,200,000 VND (about $46) for photo and video with editing, 600,000 VND (about $23) without, and 1,000,000 VND (about $38) for twenty minutes of drone filming.
Important
the safari is not a beginner's ride — riders go on the instructor's approval, and you need a good feel for the board first.
