The catamaran tour was fantastic and everything that was promised was included. We were lucky enough to see both dolphins and whales

What is this tour like?

Four and a half hours is enough to leave Costa Adeje behind and run north to where the coast turns vertical: the Los Gigantes cliffs and the bay below Masca. Freebird Catamarans does it on its own 28-metre Freebird One (4.4 on Google, 2,907 reviews as of 3 September 2026), with a cetacean guide watching for pilot whales and dolphins on the way.

The lunch is specified on the page: chicken meatballs in sauce, huertano rice, bread and a Canarian banana, with a celiac or vegan menu on request. Drinks — beer, soft drinks, water and sangria — are included, as is hotel pick-up and drop-off. €62 per person, taxes included, children 4–11 half price. Not included: sunbeds (€25 each for two, not pre-bookable), professional photos (€10) and ice creams.

Families and first-timers; children 4–11 pay half the adult fare (operator's page). A large catamaran with a cetacean guide, not a small-boat format.
Level
None. It is a long day at sea — 4.5 hours plus transfers — so plan for that with small children or if you get seasick.
What to bring
Swimwear and towel if there is a swim stop, sun protection, a light layer. Sunbeds are paid on board and cannot be pre-booked.
