We did a discover-dive — myself and my two sons. They were very professional, all the equipment was clean and quite new, and the team were very helpful.

FAQ

Do I need experience or a licence?
No — Discover Scuba is designed for complete beginners, with an instructor beside you the whole time.
Is the price per person?
Yes, the Discover Scuba dive is €150 per person and lasts about two hours.
What's included in the price?
A PADI instructor, all dive equipment, the guided sea dive and insurance. Photos, transfers and certification are extra.
What should I bring?
Just swimwear and a towel — all dive gear is provided at the centre.
What's the minimum age?
From 10 years old for the Discover Scuba experience.
How much for two of us to dive?
€150 per person, so two of you is €150 times two, that is €300. The group is capped at four divers with the instructor.
Which marina is it and how do I get there?
El Mar de Valencia Dive Center sits near the Real Club Náutico de València. Drive times: about 17 minutes from the city centre, 18 from Malvarrosa, only 8 from El Saler and 16 from Valencia airport.
How deep do we go and how long does it take?
Around twelve metres, guided, with the instructor at your shoulder. Allow two hours in total: briefing, shallow-water practice, the sea dive itself and the debrief.
What languages does the team speak?
The PADI instructor works in Spanish and English.
Why is this €150 when your other first dive is €50?
Different centre and different meeting point. This one is €150 per person beside the Real Club Náutico, in a group of no more than four. Buceo Valencia charges €50 per person from Pobla Marina, north of the city, in groups of up to six.
