Valencia takes three days on foot, but the coast around it reads better from the water: the canals of Port Saplaya and the bay of El Puig to the north, the Cullera coves to the south and, further out, the Columbretes Islands. Almost all of these trips fit into half a day and start from a city marina. What changes between them is the time they ask for and the unit you pay in:
- Half a day south, to the Cullera coves
- Two hours north, to Port Saplaya and El Puig
- An hour at the wheel, with no licence
- A full day under sail
- Open sea: fishing and the Columbretes
In short
short trips are sold per person and long ones by the whole boat, so a day trip's price cannot be compared with a cruise's until you know how many of you are going.
Half a day south: the Cullera coves
This is the fullest trip you can do in a morning. Fiestas Barco's private speedboat outing costs €420 per boat for four hours, up to 12 people, skipper included. The boat runs south to the quiet coves near Cullera and past the painted canals of Port Saplaya; on board are the welcome board, the first drink, SUP and the swim stops. Food and the fuel for long routes are paid separately.
Two hours north: Port Saplaya and El Puig
The fast version of the same idea. The guided "Valencia Norte" tour costs €175 per person for two hours, in a group of up to 8 on four jet skis with the guide: gathering at 9:30, start at 10:00 from Marina Real Juan Carlos I, a photo stop off Port Saplaya and a swim from the jet ski in El Puig bay. Action-cam footage of the whole route is included; drone filming is €100 per jet ski or €300 for all four.
At the wheel yourself, with no licence
Arrecife Boats Valencia rents five-metre boats from €110 per boat an hour, up to 5 people and with no licence, leaving from Marina Norte (berth Y) or Marina Port València (berth K). Rates run by 1, 2 and 4 hours or a full day, and after a short briefing you head for Port Saplaya and the coves at your own pace. The deposit is left at the berth and is not part of the rate.
A full day under sail
For a long day there are two yachts. The VelaMagna day charter costs €490 per boat for six hours, up to 8 people, with a professional skipper included, leaving Marina Real Juan Carlos I, anchoring in a bay for a swim and carrying all the gear. Illuka Sailing asks €400 per boat for the same six hours and the same 8 places on a Bavaria 46, out of Marina de València, with the skipper on top and regatta days or sunset sailings on offer.
Open sea: fishing and the Columbretes Islands
The furthest trip is not a sightseeing one but a fishing one. The Valencia Pesca Paseo charter costs €490 per boat for four hours, up to 9 anglers, with a skipper and a departure beside the Real Club Náutico de València. You troll, jig, pop and bottom-fish for bluefin tuna, dentex, grouper and sea bream; for runs out to the Columbretes the owner uses a big 19-metre boat. Rods and bait are on board.
If you only have an afternoon
With three hours or less the coast still reads well without chartering a whole boat. The Boramar catamaran is 50 minutes at €12 per person; the Mundo Marino swim cruise, two hours at €19; the sunset catamaran with cava, ninety minutes at €14; and the shared Wavepol outing, three hours at €35 per person with a skipper always aboard.

What is confirmed after you book
Important
in Valencia the exact meeting point is almost never part of the rate. Operators name the marina — Marina Real Juan Carlos I, Marina de València, Marina Norte or the area by the Real Club Náutico — and send the specific berth after the booking. On the northern tour the deposit is also €35 per person online, with the remaining €140 paid to the operator on the day, by card or in cash.
