The short version

The whole outing runs about three hours in groups of up to eight, and a try-dive needs no certificate: an instructor supervises you throughout.

Instructor or dive guide, full scuba equipment, tanks and weights and insurance are all in the price; photos, certification card fees and transfers are not.

Did my Advanced Open Water course with Scuba Mallorca. The staff are super friendly and well organised, they run on time, and the equipment is top notch.

Went for two scuba dives last week and it was amazing! Before the dive they were extremely helpful answering all sorts of questions and putting us at ease.

My friend and I came to do the PADI Advanced Open Water and it was great — everything was organised and well planned out, and all the equipment was solid.

Fantastic experience — my second dive with the team and totally worth it. Early May the water was a little cold, but they had suits and looked after us.

FAQ

Can I dive without a certificate?
Yes — the try-dive (Discover Scuba) needs no experience and is fully supervised by an instructor. Courses from Open Water upward are also run, as this is a PADI 5-star centre.
What does €75 cover?
It is the per-person entry price for the try-dive: instructor or dive guide, full scuba equipment, tanks and weights, and insurance. Photos or video, certification card fees and transfers are extra, and courses and multi-dive packages are priced separately.
What might we see down there?
Reefs, caves and UNESCO-protected Posidonia meadows in clear, warm water, with groupers, barracuda and octopus as common sightings on the north coast.
How old do children have to be?
Try-dives usually start from age 10. Divers need reasonable health and to be comfortable in the water, and a short medical check may apply before the dive.

Diving on Mallorca: what to know

One centre, three ways in

Scuba Mallorca in Port de Pollença runs try-dives, full courses and guided fun dives out of the same PADI 5-star base, in small groups of up to eight. €75 per person is the try-dive entry price; courses and multi-dive packages are quoted separately by the centre.

How the three hours run

Important

bring your certification card if you already have one — it decides whether you join a guided dive or a supervised try-dive.

You start with gear fitting and a full briefing at the centre, take a short boat ride out to a reef or cave site, do the dive with an instructor alongside, then come back to log it. Full scuba equipment, tanks and weights and insurance are included, so all you need is swimwear and a towel.

Getting to Port de Pollença

The centre is on the north coast, roughly 14 minutes by car from Alcúdia and about 50 from Palma or the airport. The exact point follows your booking, and transfers are not included.

What €75 per person covers

The fare is per diver, not per boat: €75 buys the three hours for one person, and a pair pays €150.

  • gear fitting and the full briefing at the centre;
  • full scuba equipment, tanks and weights;
  • the boat ride to the site and an instructor alongside;
  • insurance for the dive.

Transfers are not included, and the group stays at eight divers or fewer. The €75 is the starting rate: it is the try-dive entry price, and Scuba Mallorca quotes courses and multi-dive packages separately.

If you would rather stay on the surface

What else this coast offers:

  • Boat trips — from €49 per person for three hours, someone else at the wheel.
  • Sailing lessons — €59 for a two-hour catamaran session in the Bay of Pollença.
  • Fishing charters — €140 per angler for five hours, rods, bait and licence aboard.
  • Wakeboarding — €25 per session on the cable park, up to eight riders.
