There is one sailing departure on Phu Quoc and it is a shared one: 3,600,000 VND (about $138) per guest on La Fiesta Libera, a 24-metre sailing catamaran that VEGAYACHTS describes as the largest sailing vessel in Vietnam, with a stated capacity of 74 people including crew.

The short version

The operator's own unit is '/ 01 khách' — per one guest — so the figure is a seat, not the boat.

The boat has been receiving guests on Phu Quoc since October 2024 and works out of Sunset Town in An Thới, at the southern tip of the island. Ask what the fare covers and which pier the catamaran uses when you book.

A 50%-off offer expired on 31 December 2024; 3,600,000 VND (about $138) is the base rate.

Good to know

  • Guests who want a large sailing catamaran with a bar and a party format rather than a quiet small boat. The operator states no age limit.
  • No experience needed; this is a passenger departure, not a sailing course.
  • Swimwear, a towel and sun protection. The operator does not publish what is provided on board, so bring what you need and we confirm the details before you book.
  • Sunset Town, An Thới, Phu Quoc (10.024531, 104.007467). The operator's page states only that La Fiesta Libera has been receiving guests on Phu Quoc since October 2024 and does not name a berth, so the exact pier is confirmed when you book.

La Fiesta Libera — 24-metre sailing catamaran off Phu Quoc

An excellent place for a getaway: the catamaran stops near islands where the water is crystal clear, and the trip includes a delicious lunch, fishing, and snorkeling. The guide is incredibly upbeat and fun, sharing lots of interesting facts about Vietnam.

We had a family vacation on an evening tour. The trip is simply amazing and unforgettable. Excellent service, spacious catamaran and responsible staff. Guide Margarita met all the guests at the port and showed attention and care throughout the trip, and bartender Katya is a real hostess, won the hearts of all the guests. Thank you!

I've had a lot of wonderful feelings and emotions left after visiting yacht party with vegayachts. First of all - they've got top locations for us to swim and have fun. Second of all - they've got best service - party had unlimited beer and soft drinks, one of the best dj's I've heard in years. Comfiest boat with nicest guides - Lena and Margo. With best wishes - I'd advise everybody buy a yacht tour only with Vegayachts. By the way - price policy is more than nice.

FAQ

Is 3,600,000 VND (about $138) for the boat or per guest?
Per guest. The operator writes the unit as '/ 01 khách', which is Vietnamese for 'per one guest', so this is a seat on a shared departure rather than a charter of the whole catamaran.
How many people are on board?
The stated capacity is 74 people including crew, on a 24-metre sailing catamaran. That makes it a large shared deck; if you want a small group, this is not the format for it.
What does the fare include?
The operator publishes no inclusion or exclusion list for this departure. Meals, drinks, snorkelling equipment and transfers are therefore not established — ask for them in writing before you pay rather than assuming they come with the ticket.
Where does the catamaran leave from?
From Sunset Town in An Thới, at the southern end of the island. The operator's page names the area but not the berth — it states only that La Fiesta Libera has been receiving guests on Phu Quoc since October 2024 — so the exact pier is confirmed at booking.
Is the 50% discount on the page still valid?
No. The banner on the operator's page expired on 31 December 2024. The rate to work from is 3,600,000 VND (about $138) per guest.

Sailing here means one boat and one format, so the useful comparison is with the motorised day trips that leave from the same end of the island.

How does the price compare with the motor boats?

A seat on La Fiesta Libera sits above the speedboat and wooden-boat island days and below the private charters. What you get for the difference is a sailing catamaran of 24 metres rather than a tour boat, and a departure from Sunset Town in An Thới rather than a transfer to a working harbour.

FormatWhat you getPrice
Sailing catamaranLa Fiesta Libera, per guest3,600,000 VND (about $138)
Island day by speedboat or wooden boatper person, from720,000 VND (about $28)
Island day, top of that rangeper person1,950,000 VND (about $75)
Private charterthe whole boat, from5,900,000 VND (about $227)

What should you settle when you book?

Two things are worth putting in the booking message. Ask what the fare covers — meals, drinks, snorkelling gear and transfers are all worth naming rather than assuming. And ask which pier in Sunset Town the catamaran leaves from: it has been sailing with guests on Phu Quoc since October 2024, and the berth is confirmed together with your booking.

Important

the catamaran carries up to 74 people including crew, so this is a large shared deck rather than an intimate charter.
